I'm moving out!

I got back here in Finland a couple of days ago, but as the title says, we're moving out to Rovaniemi next Thursday and we are kind of busy with the preparations. That is why I'll have a little break from writing (taking pictures!).

Enjoy the summer while it lasts! And in the southern parts of the world: hang on, the summer will come to you too eventually!

Valparaiso and other stuff (:

First one was taken during the "super moon -night", and I was trying my new tripode for the first time, as my pretty new lens (Sigma, 70-300mm) so the session was more getting used to them than creating a beautiful view with the huge moon in it. At last, after ten minutes of trying different settings, I found out how to make the moon look like it looks in the picture. I mean, if you haven't taken pictures of an iluminated ball in a black background, it's not going to be perfect with the first try :D

Stray Dogs

All dogs except the first one are stray dogs I have met in Chile. The black one in the second picture followed us for two hours while we were exploring Valparaiso by foot, and I would have wanted to take it home with me. Every dog I see on the streets wakes emotions inside me, and sometimes I just can't understand how people can be so cruel and heartless towards animals. I want to offer unconditional love and a home to every homeless animal I meet, and I suffer for not being able to do that. One day I found myself crying in a car on my way home over an extremely friendly little cat I had met and had to leave on the street again. Luckily there are still good people who give home to homeless and cure the scars with love.
